About Us
The Early Days
Beginning in 1975 with only $150 worth of inventory, the team of Paul and Teddi Levy founded Rolling Greens. They began as street vendors in Washington D.C., selling reasonably priced plants to businessmen and women strolling on their lunch breaks.
After the lunch rush, Teddi and Paul would deliver to customer’s homes, a van loaded with plants, letting the customer choose exactly what plant varieties would look best in their home. Thus, they became known as “The Plant Store at Your Door.” Word-of-mouth referrals soon secured their first commercial account, attending to and maintaining the quality of their own plants on a regular basis. This soon led to the roots of Rolling Greens’ Interior Plant Design.
Incorporated in the state of Virginia in 1978, Rolling Greens became active in this fledgling new industry called “interiorscaping.”
Today & Tomorrow
Teddi and Paul still maintain an active hand with the day-to-day business. With vision, hard work, and a dedicated staff, they have grown to become the twelfth largest Interiorscape contractor in the country, unsurpassed in the areas of horticultural products and services.
Rolling Greens now occupies a three-acre plant nursery, and over 20,000 square feet of offices and Holiday Storage. With over $5 million in revenue and an exceptional staff of 75 team members, Rolling Greens is eager to meet any needs.
